Store Manager (Texas – Houston)

As a Store Manager, you will own day-to-day store operations and overall performance. You will lead, coach, and develop the team; ensure accurate and compliant transaction processing; uphold brand standards; and deliver an exceptional, solutions-oriented customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Serve and educate customers on the full product portfolio by presenting appropriate options that fit their needs.
- Interact with customers using active listening to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints with professionalism.
- Escalate unresolved issues to District leadership and Corporate Support as needed.
- Respond accurately and professionally to customer inquiries.
- Manage call campaigns for sales, courtesy, and collections in line with regulations and operating procedures.
- Handle and count currency, coin, and cash equivalents; manage drawers, prepare deposits, and complete safe and vault procedures; coordinate bank deposits or pick-ups when required.
- Balance daily receipts with system reports and investigate overages or shortages in accordance with policy.
- Perform customer verifications to validate application information and ensure documentation integrity.
- Process transactions accurately and per policy, including loans, check cashing, and approved ancillary services.
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies; complete all required compliance training and attestations on time.
- Plan and coordinate store operations to achieve metric targets.
- Maintain staff schedules and provide coverage support for nearby stores as needed.
- Support and develop store staff to deliver excellent service and a healthy sales culture.
- Provide coaching and on-the-job training.
- Assist District leadership with recruiting, selection, and onboarding of Assistant Store Managers and other team members.
- Maintain store standards for security, cleanliness, merchandising, and brand presentation.
- Address basic facility needs and vendor coordination.
- Protect company assets through sound risk management, accurate recordkeeping, audit readiness, and prompt corrective actions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, retail, sales, or cash handling.
- 1+ year of supervisory or key-holder experience required; multi-unit exposure is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Confident decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency with POS systems, basic spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation for work-related travel, per company policy.
- Background check required in accordance with applicable law.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and may be required at certain locations.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Full-time, in-person role; weekend and holiday availability may be required.
- Regular use of computers, POS terminals, phones, and standard office equipment.

You mentor new managers as requested, support cross-store priorities, and contribute to district projects such as training refreshers or process improvements.
